Project Feeding Chennai
Project Feeding Chennai was an initiative carried out for 10 weeks during the lockdown months of Covid19 to support daily-wage workers and their families with essential items such as food packages and hygiene kits, thus helping reduce the stress on their financial spending. With the help of the Greater Chennai Corporation and various local partners, Siragu:
Supported 26,000+ people by distributing over 7000 kits
Impacted people across 20 different low-income areas
Distributed 30,000 Sanitary Pads to women, 29,000 kgs of Rice and various other essential items
The efforts under Project Feeding Chennai were also recognized by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India.
