About Siragu
Founded in 2016, Siragu believes in the power of women to change the world. We are a team of passionate social entrepreneurs, change-makers & volunteers, dedicated to empower women through skill development and financial awareness so that they can overcome poverty and lead a life of dignity. Operating at the intersection of gender equality, community development & financial freedom, Siragu aims to impact one million women by 2030.
Siragu was incubated by the Acid Survivors and Women Welfare Foundation (ASWWF), a leading non-profit organization in India. Siragu is part of ASWWF's vision to expand its scope and services, supporting survivors of all forms of violence and atrocities against women, including physical and psychological violence.

Vedant Raj Lohia
Founder & CEO
Vedant is a passionate 26-year-old social entrepreneur who conceptualized the idea of Siragu in 2018 along with a group of peers. Ever since he has worked on furthering the mission of Siragu by growing the circle of impact empathetically and enthusiastically. He has a Bachelor's in Physics from Loyola College, Chennai, and a Master's in Financial Technology from Imperial College Business School, UK.
Avijit Kumar
Head of Strategy
A multifaceted corporate executive with a career in diverse roles spanning over 33 years, Avijit has had a rich and varied experience working in agro-industries, infrastructure development, and in the Corporate Social Impact Initiative Sector. Avijit says that there is nothing that gives him more satisfaction than helping to make life more beautiful for our less fortunate brethren. He feels privileged to be associated with Siragu which has through skill development been providing underprivileged women the perfect platform for enriching their lives and influencing the direction of social change to create a more just social and economic order.
Hemavathi
Operations Head
Empathetic, inquisitive, and soft-spoken by nature, Hemavathi is Operations Head at Siragu. Since the start of her journey at Siragu, she has realized that her work has added more meaning to her life. She feels extremely glad to be a part of this support system, encouraging a great team of incredibly talented women who together form the backbone of Siragu.
Avinash CK
Digital Media Head
Avinash was part of the group that helped conceptualize the idea of Siragu with the founder, Vedant Raj Lohia, in 2018.Avinash completed his BSc. in Physics from Loyola College, Chennai, and his MSc. in Physics from Pondicherry University. Currently, he is pursuing his PhD in Astrophysics from INAOE, Puebla, Mexico.
Khaja Mohideen
Accounts & Operations
Khaja Mohideen has 17 years of experience in various fields such as Marketing, Operations, and Accounts. He passionately supports the accounts and operations at Siragu.
